The first season of this series is nice. However, it was quite hard to watch a continuity of its episodes because it was purposely not arranged in a chronological order. Not to mention, it has different endings and sequencing depending on which character’s perspective, Kyon or Haruhi. Never the less, its story plot is interesting enough to keep me watching it.
Moving on, so when this season appeared, I was quite curious on how its story will further progress since the ending of the first season doesn’t have much impact. However, I was quite disappointed with this series. It wasted a lot of its episode just to emphasize how the characters where trapped in a time frame, which is their summer vacation. For 8 continuous episodes, same plot is repeated over and over. Some angles of shots were the only difference. The concept would have been nice but to see it repeatedly for over eight times, it just becomes pretty annoying – also boring. They could have constrained it into just two to three episodes, yet they made it into 8.
And because of that, I give it a rank of 6.5 over 10 for good visuals. Though I really think it lacked much substance or story. Too bad, it could have been better.
